Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

PXN / Paxillin antibody was raised against synthetic peptide (coupled to KLH) corresponding to amino acid residues around serine 178 of human paxillin. This human sequence is highly conserved in rat and mouse paxillin.
pSer17
Detects a 68kD protein corresponding to the molecular weight of phosphorylated paxillin on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of EGF treated A431 cells, but not in A431 control cells. Similar results were seen in calyculin A treated human A431 and aortic endothelial cells. Epitope: phosphoserine 178. Species cross Reactivity: Human. This human sequence is highly conserved in rat and mouse paxillin.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Western Blot: 1:500. ELISA: 1:2000.

Packaging

PBS, 50% glycerol, 1 mg/ml BSA, 0.05% sodium azide.

About PXN / Paxillin

P49023 NM_002859 NP_002850.2

PXN Antibody, Paxillin Antibody

PXN / Paxillin is a cytoskeletal protein involved in actin-membrane attachment at sites of cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix (focal adhesion). Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. These isoforms exhibit different expression pattern, and have different biochemical, as well as physiological properties (PMID:9054445).
