Parvalbumin purified from frog muscle.
Specificity
Recognizes frog Parvalbumin. The antibody will react with parvalbumin from brain and muscle. By immunoblot, recognizes a 12kD MW protein band. The antibody is directed against an epitope at the first Ca+2-binding site and specifically stains the Ca+2-bound form of parvalbumin. Species cross-reactivity: human, rat, bovine, porcine, feline, rabbit, canine, fish and goat.

Usage
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Western Blot: 1:1000 using 10 ug of mouse brain lysate. Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000-1:2000 (Indirect Immunoperoxidase). Works on formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissue sections of rat cerebellum. Fixation does not appear to affect ability to detect parvalbumin. Immunocytochemistry: Cultured neurons.
