  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

PTHLH / PTHRP antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to aa45-59, NSKPSPNTKNHPVRF, of native Parathyroid Hormone Related Peptide (KLH). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon (100%); Monkey, Mouse, Rat, Sheep, Goat, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Bat, Cat, Bovine, Dog, Horse, Pig (93%); Rabbit (80%).
Suitable for use in ELISA and Suitable for use in Western blot: Blots of ovine kidney results in strong bands (very faint in pre-immune kidney) at 30, 33, 36kD. There are at least 3 isoforms of PTHRP precursor 21-25kD by sequence alone. Not tested by blocking.

Neuroendocrine peptide which is a critical regulator of cellular and organ growth, development, migration, differentiation and survival and of epithelial calcium ion transport. Regulates endochondral bone development and epithelial-mesenchymal interactions during the formation of the mammary glands and teeth. Required for skeletal homeostasis. Promotes mammary mesenchyme differentiation and bud outgrowth by modulating mesenchymal cell responsiveness to BMPs.
