Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

PTAR2 / FNTA antibody was raised against a portion of amino acids 150-250 of human farnesyltransferase.
aa150-250
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human (isoforms CRA_a, _b, _c), rat, dog, chicken, and chimp (isoforms 1, 2, 3), and 93% homologous in mouse.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B1779 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B1779 was determined to be 10 ug/ml.

Packaging

PBS, 0.2% gelatin, 0.05% sodium azide.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles.

About PTAR2 / FNTA

P49354 NM_002027 NP_002018.1

FNTA Antibody, FPTA Antibody, FTase-alpha Antibody, GGTase-I-alpha Antibody, PTAR2 Antibody, PGGT1A Antibody

Essential subunit of both the farnesyltransferase and the geranylgeranyltransferase complex. Contributes to the transfer of a farnesyl or geranylgeranyl moiety from farnesyl or geranylgeranyl diphosphate to a cysteine at the fourth position from the C-terminus of several proteins having the C-terminal sequence Cys-aliphatic-aliphatic-X. May positively regulate neuromuscular junction development downstream of MUSK via its function in RAC1 prenylation and activation.

Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry
Anti-FNTA antibody IHC of human prostate. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B1779 concentration 10 ug/ml.

Western blot

Western blot
Western blot of farnesyltransferase inumouse colon?cell lysate in the 1) absence and 2) presence of immunizing peptide using antibody at 2 ug/ml.
