Specificity and Use
Proximal sequence element (PSE1) of the human U1 small nuclear RNA extracted from human placenta.
Recognizes the large a subunit (~80-90 kD) of placental PSE1 and human Ku in solution and when bound to DNA.
Works well in Western blot and electrophoretic mobility (gel shift) assays for identifying PSE1 or Ku. May be used to immuno-deplete Ku protein from protein mixtures prior to specific DNA affinity chromatography.
