Human Properdin / CFP | |
Mouse | |
Human (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
IgG1,k Monoclonal | |
Unconjugated | |
Protein A/G purified | |
Unmodified |
Properdin / CFP antibody was raised against properdin isolated from human plasma (1).
Recognizes Properdin (human). Epitope specificity differs from that of clone 6F181 but slightly overlap as determined by inhibition ELISA. Reacts strongly with properdin isolated from human plasma. When tested in sandwich ELISA using this antibody as capture and detection antibody, only very low reaction is seen with plasma from patients deficient in properdin. Works equally well in ELISA with purified properdin coated directly onto the microtiter well. In Western blotting after SDS-PAGE this antibody reacts with properdin in both reduced (subunits of 25kD and 56kD) as well as unreduced forms (220kD).
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. ELISA: 1:5000; Antigen coated at 0.15 ug/ml. |
PBS, pH 7.4, 15 mM sodium azide, 40% glycerol.
+4°C or -20°C, Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Properdin / CFP is a plasma glycoprotein that positively regulates the alternative complement pathway of the innate immune system. This protein binds to many microbial surfaces and apoptotic cells and stabilizes the C3- and C5-convertase enzyme complexes in a feedback loop that ultimately leads to formation of the membrane attack complex and lysis of the target cell.
