Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Product Description

PROL1 antibody LS-C154820 is an unconjugated goat polyclonal antibody to PROL1 from human and mouse. Validated for ICC, IF, IHC and Peptide-ELISA.
About PROL1
PROL1 is a member of the proline-rich protein family. The encoded protein has multiple proposed functions, including roles in pain suppression, penile erection, and protection of the eye surface. The QRFSR pentapeptide, known as opiorphin, is derived from the N-terminal of this protein. Q99935 NM_021225 NP_067048.4

Immunogen
PROL1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide C-QFPVRKYLEDPRY from an internal region of human PROL1 (NP_032670.2). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Mouse (100%).
Blocking Peptide
LS-E27572 - Lyophilized - 100 µg - $145.00
Immunizing peptide used to generate LS-C154820. Useful for pre-absorption and neutralization of the antibody's antigen binding site.
Epitope
aa30-42
Specificity
Human PROL1.
Usage
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000. Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 45kD band in Mouse Eye lysates after 1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 33.6kD according to NP_032670.2. The 45kD band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
