16 residue synthetic peptide (KKGSEQESVKEFLAK-C) based upon aa 8-22 of the human 41 kDa alpha isoform of the catalytic subunit of PKA. The immunizing sequence is identical in mouse, rat, hamster, bovine and porcine. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Monkey, Mouse, Rat, Sheep, Hamster, Elephant, Bovine, Dog, Pig (100%); Orangutan, Gibbon, Marmoset, Stickleback (93%); Xenopus, Catfish, Salmon, Pufferfish, Zebrafish (87%).

Specificity
Recognizes PKA purified from bovine heart and recombinant human alpha isoform of PKA expressed in CHO cells. Species cross-reactivity: mouse, rat, hamster, bovine and porcine. Cross-reactivity with the beta-isoform of mammalian PKA is possible since it shares identity in 14 of 15 residues.
