  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

PPP3CA / CCN1 / Calcineurin A antibody was raised against synthetic peptide, 25aa, corresponding to aa 490-514 (MPSDANLNSINKALASETNGTDSNG) of bovine Calcineurin/PP2B A, alpha. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Bat, Bovine (100%); Human, Gorilla, Orangutan, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Dog, Horse (96%); Opossum, Platypus, Xenopus (92%); Turkey, Chicken (84%).
Recognizes Bovine Calcineurin/PP2B Aa, MW:~58kD. Species cross-reactivity: Human, mouse, rat and rabbit. Species sequence homology: Xenopus 23/25.
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Western Blot: 0.5-2 ug/ul. Detected Calcineurin/PP2B A alpha. in a rat and bovine brain cytosol preparations respectively. Immunoprecipitation: 4 ug. Detected Calcineurin/PP2B A alpha. from 500 ug of rat and bovine brain cytosol preparations.

200 ul of 0.1 M Tris-glycine, 0.15 M sodium chloride, 0.05% sodium azide, 30% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

Calcineurin A alpha (PPP3CA), a PP2B type serine/threonine phosphatase, is a catalytic subunit of calcineurin which acts as a calcium-dependent and calmodulin-stimulated modifier of phosphorylation status. PPP3CA has been shown to function in calcium signaling and is believed to function in the calmodulin activation of calcineurin, motor neuron disease and neuronal reorganization after ischemic injury.
