Specificity and Use
PPM1B antibody was raised against recombinant human PPM1B (288-479aa) purified from E. coli.
The antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since applications vary, each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:1000-1:3000.

PPM1B is a member of the PP2C family of Ser/Thr protein phosphatases. PP2C family members are known to be negative regulators of cell stress response pathways. This phosphatase has been shown to dephosphorylate cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), and thus may be involved in cell cycle control. Overexpression of this phosphatase is reported to cause cell-growth arrest or cell death. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
Cell lysates of MCF7 (30 ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to NC membrane and probed with anti-human PPM1B (1:2000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.
