  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Melanoma Associated Antigen (100/7).
Recognizes a (pre) melanosomal 100+7kD antigen (glycoprotein). Reacts with melanomas, clear cell sarcomas (melanoma of soft tissue), nevocellular nevi and normal melanocytes. Except for one case of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in which macrophages were positive, no reactions with other tumors or tissues have been observed.
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (Immunoperoxidase staining on frozen tissue sections). Immunohistochemistry: 1:5-1:20 with PBS. Formalin fixation and embedding in paraffin may affect the reactivity of the antibody. The applications listed have been tested for the unmodified form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

PBS, pH 7.4. No stabilizing proteins added. No preservative added.
Short term: +4°C; Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C.
For research use only.

PMEL / SILV / gp100 is a melanocyte-specific type I transmembrane glycoprotein. The encoded protein is enriched in melanosomes, which are the melanin-producing organelles in melanocytes, and plays an essential role in the structural organization of premelanosomes. This protein is involved in generating internal matrix fibers that define the transition from Stage I to Stage II melanosomes.
