Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

PLG / Plasmin / Plasminogen antibody was raised against native, highly purified.
Recognizes human plasminogen, a ~90 kD single-chain glycoprotein and inactive precursor (zymogen) of plasmin, secreted by the liver and present in the blood and majority of extravascular body fluids. Plasminogen is the central component in the fibrinolytic system, and is converted into active plasmin through cleavage by the endogenous activators urokinase (u-PA) and tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA), in the presence of fibrin. The level of plasminogen is maintained in the plasma at around 200 mg/L, with an increase being associated with hypothyroidism, obesity and pregnancy, and deficiencies with many disorders including thrombosis, liver disease, sepsis and hyperthyroidism. Has not been cross adsorbed and may cross react with plasminogen from other species.
The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

Packaging

About PLG / Plasmin / Plasminogen

P00747 NM_000301 NP_000292.1

PLG Antibody, Plasmin Antibody, Plasminogen Antibody

Plasmin dissolves the fibrin of blood clots and acts as a proteolytic factor in a variety of other processes including embryonic development, tissue remodeling, tumor invasion, and inflammation. In ovulation, weakens the walls of the Graafian follicle. It activates the urokinase-type plasminogen activator, collagenases and several complement zymogens, such as C1 and C5. Cleavage of fibronectin and laminin leads to cell detachment and apoptosis.
