PLCG2 / PLC Gamma 2 is a transmembrane signaling enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 1-phosphatidyl-1D-myo-inositol 4,5-bisphosphate to 1D-myo-inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG) using calcium as a cofactor. IP3 and DAG are second messenger molecules important for transmitting signals from growth factor receptors and immune system receptors across the cell membrane.
PLC- gamma 2 in Human PBMCs. PLC- gamma 2 was detected in immersion fixed human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) using Human/Mouse PLC- gamma 2 Monoclonal Antibody at 10 ug/ml for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using NorthernLights 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (yellow) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).
Detection of Human/Mouse PLC- gamma 2 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of A20 mouse B cell lymphoma cell line and U937 human histiocytic lymphoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 ug/ml of Human/Mouse PLC- gamma 2 Monoclonal Antibody followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody. A specific band was detected for PLC- gamma 2 at approximately 145 kD (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.
