  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

PKN1 antibody was raised against kLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 918-930 (C-PRDARPLTAAEQA) of human Protein Kinase C Related Protein Kinase 1 (PRK1), with an N-terminal cysteine added for conjugation purposes. The immunizing sequence is 100% identical in mouse and rat. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Dog (100%); Elephant, Panda, Bovine, Pig (92%); Bat (85%).
Recognizes PRK1, Mr ~130kD. Species cross-reactivity: Human. Predicted to cross-react with mouse and rat based on sequence homology.
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Western Blot: 1-2 ug/ml detects PRK1 in RIPA lysates from Jurkat, HeLa, HEK293 and A549 cells. Jurkat cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with anti-PRK1 (1 ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.

0.1 M Tris-glycine, pH 7.4, 0.15 M sodium chloride, 0.05% sodium azide, 30% glycerol.
Short term: 4°C. Long term: Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

PKN1 Antibody, PKN Antibody, Protein kinase C-like PKN Antibody, Protein kinase N1 Antibody, PRK1 Antibody, PRKCL1 Antibody, Serine-threonine kinase N Antibody, Pknalpha Antibody, Protease-activated kinase 1 Antibody, Protein kinase PKN-alpha Antibody, DBK Antibody, PAK-1 Antibody, PKN-ALPHA Antibody, Protein kinase C-like 1 Antibody

PKC-related serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in various processes such as regulation of the intermediate filaments of the actin cytoskeleton, cell migration, tumor cell invasion and transcription regulation. Regulates the cytoskeletal network by phosphorylating proteins such as VIM and neurofilament proteins NEFH, NEFL and NEFM, leading to inhibit their polymerization.
