  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

P2RX2 / P2X2 antibody was raised against a 13 amino acid peptide Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 460-472 (DSTSDPKGLAQL) from the carboxy-terminus of the rat P2X2 Receptor protein. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla (83%).
Recognizes rat P2X2 Receptor. Species cross-reactivity: Human and primate.
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Membranes were rinsed and incubated withI1904-47H: IgG, H&L (HRP) Pab GtxRt for 1 hour at RT. Blocking buffer was removed and slides were incubated for 18-24 hours at 4?C with primary antiserum. Slides were rinsed 3 times and then incubated with secondary antibodies for 1 hour at RT. Slides were again rinsed 3 times and coverslipped. Staining was examined using fluorescence microscopy. Immunocytochemistry: 1:1000. P2X3 transfected cells were processed for indirect immunofluorescence. Media was removed and cells were gently washed 3 times with serum-free media. Following fixation procedure, cells were processed for indirect immunofluorescence as described above.

0.05% sodium azide, 40% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

About P2RX2 / P2X2

Q9UBL9 NM_012226 NP_036358.2

P2RX2 Antibody, ATP receptor Antibody, p2X2 Antibody, p2X Receptor, subunit 2 Antibody, Purinergic receptor Antibody, p2RX2 Antibody, p2X receptor 2 Antibody, p2X purinoceptor 2 Antibody, p2X2 purinoceptor Antibody

Ion channel gated by extracellular ATP involved in a variety of cellular responses, such as excitatory postsynaptic responses in sensory neurons, neuromuscular junctions (NMJ) formation, hearing, perception of taste and peristalsis. In the inner ear, regulates sound transduction and auditory neurotransmission, outer hair cell electromotility, inner ear gap junctions, and K+ recycling. Mediates synaptic transmission between neurons and from neurons to smooth muscle.
