  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

OPTC / Opticin antibody was raised against nS0-derived recombinant human Opticin (aa20-332) Accession #Q9UBM4.
Recognizes human Opticin.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Western Blot: 1-2 ug/ml Using a colorimetric detection system, the detection limit is ~25 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Chemiluminescent detection will increase sensitivity by 5 to 50 fold. ELISA (Direct): 0.5-1 ug/ml The detection limit is ~2 ng/well.

100 µl deionized water

About OPTC / Opticin

OPTC Antibody, Oculoglycan Antibody, OPT Antibody, Opticin Antibody

Opticin belongs to class III of the small leucine-rich repeat protein (SLRP) family. Members of this family are typically associated with the extracellular matrix. Opticin is present in significant quantities in the vitreous of the eye and also localizes to the cornea, iris, ciliary body, optic nerve, choroid, retina, and fetal liver. Opticin may noncovalently bind collagen fibrils and regulate fibril morphology, spacing, and organization.
