NAT5 / NAA20

N(alpha)-acetyltransferase 20, NatB catalytic subunit

Catalytic subunit of the NatB complex which catalyzes acetylation of the N-terminal methionine residues of peptides beginning with Met-Asp, Met-Glu, Met-Asn and Met-Gln. Proteins with cell cycle functions are overrepresented in the pool of NatB substrates. Required for maintaining the structure and function of actomyosin fibers and for proper cellular migration.

Gene Name: N(alpha)-acetyltransferase 20, NatB catalytic subunit
Synonyms: NAA20, N-alpha-acetyltransferase 20, N-acetyltransferase 3 homolog, NAT3, NAT5, NatB catalytic subunit, NatB complex subunit NAT5, DJ1002M8.1, N-acetyltransferase 5
Target Sequences: NM_016100 NP_057184.1 P61599

NAT5 / NAA20 Antibody - Immunohistochemical analysis of NAT5 staining in human ovarian cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with hematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
