Specificity and Use
Partially purified protein from adult human skeletal muscle myosin.
Recognizes human myosin heavy chain, Mr ~220kD. Western Blotting with muscle cell lysates will often show several close bands from different myosin heavy chain genes, as well as degradation products. Species cross-reactivity: Mouse, rat, rabbit, zebrafish and Drosophila.
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-mouse and a chemiluminescence detection system. Immunohistochemistry: Reported to detect myosin heavy chain in zebrafish embryos and skeletal muscle sections fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde.
