  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

MYO5A / Myosin V antibody was raised against synthetic peptide C-ETKQLELDLN from an internal region of human MYO5A (NP_000250.3; NP_001135967.1). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Bovine, Dog, Bat, Horse, Rabbit, Pig, Opossum, Turkey, Chicken, Platypus (100%); Xenopus (90%).
LS-E27449 - Lyophilized - 100 µg - $145.00
Immunizing peptide used to generate LS-C139627. Useful for pre-absorption and neutralization of the antibody's antigen binding site.
Human MYO5A. This antibody is expected to recognize both reported isoforms (NP_000250.3; NP_001135967.1).
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:8000. Western blot: Approx 200kD band observed in lysates of cell line Jurkat (calculated MW of 215kD according to NP_000250.3). Recommended concentration: 1-3 ug/ml. Immunofluorescence: Transverse sections of Mouse Skeletal Muscle shows staining of the fiber membrane and neuromuscular junction. The observed pattern corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Rder et al, Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2010 Feb 2;107(5):2031-6; PMID: 20133847). Recommended concentration: 1-3 ug/ml.

Tris-buffered saline, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide

MYO5A / Myosin V is one of three myosin V heavy-chain genes, belonging to the myosin gene superfamily. Myosin V is a class of actin-based motor proteins involved in cytoplasmic vesicle transport and anchorage, spindle-pole alignment and mRNA translocation. The protein encoded by this gene is abundant in melanocytes and nerve cells. Mutations in this gene cause Griscelli syndrome type-1 (GS1), Griscelli syndrome type-3 (GS3) and neuroectodermal melanolysosomal disease, or Elejalde disease.

MYO5A antibody (1 ug/ml) staining of Mouse Skeletal Muscle (first panel, and in green in third panel). Alpha-Bungarotoxin staining in middle panel and in red in third panel. Detected by Fluorescence.

Western blot

Western blot
MYO5A antibody (1 ug/ml) staining of Jurkat lysate (35 ug protein/ml in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.
