Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
IgG1 Monoclonal [Ccp58]
IHC - Paraffin (1:100)
IHC - Frozen
Specificity and Use
Mucin 2 / MUC2 antibody was raised against synthetic human MUC2 (MI-29) peptide (VNTR region).
Reacts with colon gastric cancer cells, normal intestine, colon and salivary gland (immunoperoxidase staining); human colon cancer cell line LS174T by flow cytometry & Western blotting. Epitope defined as -GTQTP- (GlyThrGlnThrPro).
Identification of MUC2 in Immunohistochemistry, Flow cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, ELISA and Western blotting.
Mucin 2 / MUC2 is a member of the mucin protein family. Mucins are high molecular weight glycoproteins produced by many epithelial tissues. The protein encoded by this gene is secreted and forms an insoluble mucous barrier that protects the gut lumen. The protein polymerizes into a gel of which 80% is composed of oligosaccharide side chains by weight.
