  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

MUC5B antibody was raised against synthetic peptide CEKEDSSTCQ from an internal region of mouse MUC5B (NP_083077.2). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Mouse (100%); Hamster (80%).
LS-E27468 - Lyophilized - 100 µg - $145.00
Mouse MUC5B.
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:4000. Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx 100kD and 55kD in Mouse Lung lysates after 1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the calculated size of 515kD according to Mouse NP_083077.2. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the additional bands).

Tris-buffered saline, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide

MUC5B Antibody, MUC-5B Antibody, MUC9 Antibody, Mucin-5B Antibody, Sublingual gland mucin Antibody, MG1 Antibody, Cervical mucin Antibody, Cervical mucin MUC5B Antibody, MUC5 Antibody

MUC5B is a member of the mucin family of proteins, which are highly glycosylated macromolecular components of mucus secretions. This family member is the major gel-forming mucin in mucus. It is a major contributor to the lubricating and viscoelastic properties of whole saliva, normal lung mucus and cervical mucus.
