Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

MTBP / Mdm2-Binding Protein antibody was raised against peptide corresponding to aa 122-139 of human MTBP. This sequence differs from that of mouse by three amino acids.
aa122-139
human and mouse MTBP which is involved in the p53 network of tumor suppression. p53 transcriptionally activates the MDM2 gene, then the translated MDM2 protein binds to p53 and promotes degradation of p53. MTBP binds to MDM2 and inhibits the modulating effect of MDM2 on p53. MTBP is expressed in a variety of normal tissues

About MTBP / Mdm2-Binding Protein

Q96DY7 NM_022045 NP_071328.2

MTBP Antibody, Mdm2-binding protein Antibody, MDM2BP Antibody, HMTBP Antibody

The p53 tumor-suppressor gene integrates numerous signals that control cell life and death. Several molecules involved in p53 network, including Chk2, p53R2, p53AIP1, Noxa, PIDD, PID/MTA2, and MTBP, were recently discovered. The transcriptional activity of p53 is modulated by post translational regulations of the p53 protein including stabilization and acetylation.
