The Immunohistochemistry Antibody Company
Human (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
MTA1 antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide that maps to a region between residues 400 and 450 of human Metastasis Associated Protein 1 using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry Q13330 (GeneID 9112).
Specific for human MTA-1 protein. Other species not tested. Reactivity with mouse, rat and X. laevis MTA1 is expected owing to conservation of sequence at the site to which the epitope maps.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation.
Tris-citrate/phosphate (pH 7-8), 0.09% sodium azide.
For research use only.
MTA1 Antibody, Metastasis associated 1 AntibodyTranscriptional coregulator which can act as both a transcriptional corepressor and coactivator. As a part of the histone-deacetylase multiprotein complex (NuRD), regulates transcription of its targets by modifying the acetylation status of the target chromatin and cofactor accessibility to the target DNA. In conjunction with other components of NuRD, acts as a transcriptional corepressor of BRCA1, ESR1, TFF1 and CDKN1A.
