  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

MEN1 / Menin antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to an epitope within amino acid residues 575-615 of human menin (NP_000235.2).
Recognizes the nuclear protein MCM2 (mini chromosome maintenance protein 2), when phosphorylated at Ser41. MCM2 is a putative DNA replicative helicase and member of the MCM family, critical during the initiation of DNA replication. During the G1 phase of the cell cycle the MCM proteins, part of the pre-replicative complex which assembles at replication origins, undergo phosphorylation by kinases including cyclin dependent kinase (CDK) and Cdc7/Dbf4 (DDK). Studies have shown that the phosphorylation of MCM2 occurs on multiple sites, namely Ser27, Ser41, Ser53, Ser108 and Ser139 and that phosphorylation results in a conformational change of the complex and activation of the helicase activity.
Immunohistochemistry: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose. Western Blot: LS-C56963 detects a band of approximately 68kD in 293T cell lysates.

Tris-citrate/phosphate, 0.09% sodium azide.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: -20°C

About MEN1 / Menin

O00255 NM_000244 NP_000235.2

MEN1 Antibody, MEAI Antibody, Menin Antibody, Multiple endocrine neoplasia I Antibody

Essential component of a MLL/SET1 histone methyltransferase (HMT) complex, a complex that specifically methylates 'Lys-4' of histone H3 (H3K4). Functions as a transcriptional regulator. Binds to the TERT promoter and represses telomerase expression. Plays a role in TGFB1-mediated inhibition of cell-proliferation, possibly regulating SMAD3 transcriptional activity. Represses JUND-mediated transcriptional activation on AP1 sites, as well as that mediated by NFKB subunit RELA.

Western blot

Western blot
Detection of human menin in a whole cell lysate from 293T cells using Western blotting and immunoprecipitation as indicated in the presence or absence of blocking peptide with Rabbit anti-Human menin (LS-C56963).
