Specificity and Use
MAPK8 / JNK1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to a portion of phosphorylated JNK/p38 (SAP kinase 1/2).
Species cross-reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat. Recognizes the TG/PpT motif of activated, monophosphorylated and the dually phosphorylated site pTG/PpT of human, mouse and rat JNK and p38. Does not cross-react with the non-phosphorylated form of the protein or with activated ERK1 or ERK2.

Serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in various processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, transformation and programmed cell death. Extracellular stimuli such as proinflammatory cytokines or physical stress stimulate the stress-activated protein kinase/c-Jun N-terminal kinase (SAP/JNK) signaling pathway.
