  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

MAPK3 / ERK1 antibody was raised against synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to the regions surrounding the phosphorylated Thr202 and Tyr204 residues of ERK1+2 (p44/42 MAP kinase).
Specific for ERK 1+2 when phosphorylated at Thr202 and Tyr204. On Western blots, it identifies two bands at ~42 and 44kD. Reactivity has been confirmed with UV-treated human Jurkat cell lysates. Immunolabeling in UV-treated Jurkat cells is blocked by the phosphopeptide, but not by the dephosphopeptide.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Western Blot (rat): 1:1000. Immunohistochemistry, human (formalin fixed, paraffin embedded): 1:400. Staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues, heat induced epitope retrieval with citrate buffer, pH 6.0, is required prior to staining.

10 mM HEPES solution, pH 7.5, 0.1 mg/ml BSA, 50% glycerol.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C

Serine/threonine kinase which acts as an essential component of the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway. MAPK1/ERK2 and MAPK3/ERK1 are the 2 MAPKs which play an important role in the MAPK/ERK cascade. They participate also in a signaling cascade initiated by activated KIT and KITLG/SCF.
