  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

MAPK3 / ERK1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide (a.a. 339-353) corresponding to a C-terminal segment of rat ERK1.
Reacts strongly with ERK1 and ERK2. A synthetic peptide, corresponding to a 15 amino acid sequence near the carboxyl terminus (339-353 aa of rat ERK1) was conjugated to carrier protein and used as the immunogen. Reactivity to ERK1 and ERK2 has been confirmed by western blot analysis of human A431 and K562 cells, mouse brain and rat brain. Human, mouse and rat (positive control: human A431 and K562 cells, mouse brain and rat brain cell lysates).
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry. ELISA: 0.1-1 ug/ml (to coat: 10 ug/ml). Immunoprecipitation: 2-5 ug. Immunohistochemistry: 5-10 ug/ml. Western blotting: ~1:1000. Positive control: Human A431 and K562 cells, mouse brain and rat brain cell lysates).

PBS, pH 7.4, 0.05% sodium azide.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C

Serine/threonine kinase which acts as an essential component of the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway. MAPK1/ERK2 and MAPK3/ERK1 are the 2 MAPKs which play an important role in the MAPK/ERK cascade. They participate also in a signaling cascade initiated by activated KIT and KITLG/SCF.
