Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
MAP2 is a protein that belongs to the microtubule-associated protein family. The proteins of this family are thought to be involved in microtubule assembly, which is an essential step in neurogenesis. The products of similar genes in rat and mouse are neuron-specific cytoskeletal proteins that are enriched in dentrites, implicating a role in determining and stabilizing dentritic shape during neuron development.
Mixed neuron and glia cultures stained with MAP2 / MAP-2 antibody (green), and RPCA-NF-H rabbit antibody to neurofilament NF-H (red) and DNA (blue). MAP2 / MAP-2 antibody antibody reveals strong cytoplasmic staining for of dendrites and perikarya, which does not overlap with the NF-H antibody, which primarily binds to axons.
Western blot of rat brain extract probed with MAP2 / MAP-2 antibody; note that the strong single band running at about 280kDa corresponds to MAP2.
