Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

LPIN1 / Lipin 1 antibody was raised against e. coli-derived rhLipin 1 (aa448-574).
aa448-574
Selected for its ability to recognize human Lipin 1 in the applications listed below. In direct ELISAs and Western Blots, this antibody shows less than 2% cross-reactivity with rhLipin2 and rhLipin3.
Immunocytochemistry: This antibody has been used at a concentration of 10 ug/ml to detect human Lipin 1 on human MSC-derived adipocytes. Cells were fixed with PBS containing 4% paraformaldehyde for 20 minutes at room temperature and blocked with PBS containing 10% normal donkey serum, 0.1% Triton X-100, and 1% BSA for 45 minutes at room temperature. After blocking, cells were incubated with diluted primary antibody overnight at 4? C followed by Rhodamine RedTM-coupled anti-goat IgG at room temperature in the dark for one hour. Between each step, cells were washed with PBS containing 0.1% BSA. Western Blot: This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human Lipin 1. The detection limit for rhLipin 1 is approximately 2 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0 ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human Lipin 1. The detection limit for rhLipin 1 is approximately 0.1 ng/well.

About LPIN1 / Lipin 1

Q14693 D80010 BAA11505.1

LPIN1 Antibody, Lipin-1 Antibody, Lipin 1 Antibody, PAP1 Antibody, KIAA0188 Antibody

LPIN1 / Lipin 1 is a magnesium-ion-dependent phosphatidic acid phosphohydrolase enzyme that catalyzes the penultimate step in triglyceride synthesis including the dephosphorylation of phosphatidic acid to yield diacylglycerol. Expression of this gene is required for adipocyte differentiation and it also functions as a nuclear transcriptional coactivator with some peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors to modulate expression of other genes involved in lipid metabolism.
