  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

LMNA / Lamin A+C antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to N-terminal residues adjacent to Asp230 in human lamin A.
Detects endogenous levels of the small fragment of lamin A when cleaved by caspase-6 at Asp230. It is a marker of caspase-6 activity. Detects the small fragment of lamin A/C only when cleaved at Asp230. Does not cross-react with full length lamin A (nor with lamin C). Species cross-reactivity: Mouse and rat.
Western Blot: 1:1000. Immunocytochemistry (ABC) 1:1000. Immunocytochemistry (IF) 1:1000.

10 mM HEPES, pH 7.5, 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.1 mg/ml BSA, 50% glycerol, 0.02% sodium azide.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

The nuclear lamina consists of a two-dimensional matrix of proteins located next to the inner nuclear membrane. The lamin family of proteins make up the matrix and are highly conserved in evolution. During mitosis, the lamina matrix is reversibly disassembled as the lamin proteins are phosphorylated. Lamin proteins are thought to be involved in nuclear stability, chromatin structure and gene expression. Vertebrate lamins consist of two types, A and B.
