  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

LI2 / Abca12 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide C-KDQKSYETADTSSQ from an internal region (near C-terminus) of human ABCA12 (NP_775099.2; NP_056472.2). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Panda (100%); Bovine, Horse (93%); Mouse, Rat, Hamster (86%).
LS-E26745 - Lyophilized - 100 µg - $145.00
Immunizing peptide used to generate LS-C87290. Useful for pre-absorption and neutralization of the antibody's antigen binding site.
Human ABCA12. This antibody is expected to recognize both reported isoforms (NP_775099.2; NP_056472.2).
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:1000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 35kD band in Human Placenta, Skin and Testis lysates after 1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 193kD according to NP_775099.2 and of 257kD according to NP_056472.2. The 35kD band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies / lysates? Have any further splice variants / modified forms been reported?

ABCA12 Antibody, ABC12 Antibody, DKFZP434G232 Antibody, ICR2B Antibody, LI2 Antibody, ATP-binding cassette 12 Antibody

The membrane-associated protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intracellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, and White). This encoded protein is a member of the ABC1 subfamily, which is the only major ABC subfamily found exclusively in multicellular eukaryotes.
