Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Leptin antibody was raised against recombinant mouse LEP / Leptin.
Recombinant mouse leptin 16000 MW produced in E. coli.
This IgG fraction of anti-Mouse Leptin has been tested for use in ELISA and immunoblotting. Reactivity in other immunoassays is unknown. Obesity associated leptin is the product of the OB gene and has been identified with Type II diabetes. This product has been assayed by immunoblot against tissue homogenates using HRP Goat-anti-Rabbit IgG [H&L] (catalog no. LS-C60884) and TMB as a substrate. A working dilution range of 1:200 to 1:400 is suggested for this application. This product has been assayed by ELISA against recombinant mouse leptin using HRP Conjugated Anti-Rabbit IgG [H&L] (Goat) (catalog no. LS-C60884) and ABTS as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:2400 is suggested for this product.

Packaging

Leptin is a protein that is secreted by white adipocytes, and which plays a major role in the regulation of body weight. This protein, which acts through the leptin receptor, functions as part of a signaling pathway that can inhibit food intake and/or regulate energy expenditure to maintain constancy of the adipose mass. This protein also has several endocrine functions, and is involved in the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses, hematopoiesis, angiogenesis and wound healing.
