Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Synthetic peptide C-TQDDIEKHQSDAG from an internal region of human LEPR / Leptin Receptor (NP_002294.2; NP_001003679.1; NP_001003680.1). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla (100%); Marmoset, Panda, Dog, Horse (92%).
LS-E26104 - Lyophilized - 100 µg - $145.00
Immunizing peptide used to generate LS-B3013. Useful for pre-absorption and neutralization of the antibody's antigen binding site.
aa829-841
Human LEPR / Leptin Receptor. This antibody is expected to recognise all three reported isoforms (NP_002294.2; NP_001003679.1; NP_001003680.1).
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B3013 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B3013 was determined to be 4 ug/ml.

LEPR / Leptin Receptor belongs to the gp130 family of cytokine receptors that are known to stimulate gene transcription via activation of cytosolic STAT proteins. This protein is a receptor for leptin (an adipocyte-specific hormone that regulates body weight), and is involved in the regulation of fat metabolism, as well as in a novel hematopoietic pathway that is required for normal lymphopoiesis. Mutations in this gene have been associated with obesity and pituitary dysfunction.
