  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Lamin B antibody was raised against nuclear pore complex-lamina fraction of Xenopus laevis (XLKE-A6 cells).
This antibody decorates the karyoskeleton, i e. the intermediate filament equivalent of the nucleus. Reacts with lamin isotypes of Mr 60 -75 kD. Recognizes Lamin B1 & B2 in human, bovine & rat, and Lamin B2 in mouse

Tissue culture supernatant, 0.09% sodium azide.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only.

About Lamin B

In animal cells, there are A- and B-type lamins, which differ in their length and isoelectric point (pI). Human cells have three differentially regulated genes. B-type lamins are present in every cell. B type lamins, B1 and B2, are expressed from the LMNB1 and LMNB2 genes on 5q23 and 19q13, respectively. A-type lamins are expressed only following gastrulation. Lamin A and C are the most common A-type lamins and are splice variants of the LMNA gene found at 1q21.
