Purified human laminin.
Specificity
Recognizes the globular domain of the a5 chain of intact laminin and blocks the neurite stimulating activity of laminin. This antibody was originally thought to recognize laminin alpha 1 or A, but further characterization has confirmed its specificity for the laminin alpha 5 chain. No cross-reactivity is observed to mouse or rat laminin.

Failed Applications
- Western blot
Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Immunoprecipitation. Does not work in Western Blot. ELISA: 1:11000 (50% maximal binding to human laminin). Immunofluorescence: Tissue staining pattern is most consistent with that observed for laminin a5 in mouse.
