Specificity
Recognizes cytokeratin 14, a type I intermediate filament. Cytokeratin 14 is one of two cytokeratins that can distinguish stratifying epithelial cell types from simple epithelial cell types, being expressed by stratifying/keratinocytes cell types but not by simple epithelial cells.
