Detection of Human C-terminal 180 kDa Fragment of MLL1 by Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate from K562 (15 and 50 ug for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded), 293T (T; 50 ug) and HeLa (H; 50 ug) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-MLL1 antibody used for WB at 0.4 ug/ml (A) and 1 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 6 ug/mg lysate. About KMT2A / MLL
Histone methyltransferase that plays an essential role in early development and hematopoiesis. Catalytic subunit of the MLL1/MLL complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates both methylation of 'Lys-4' of histone H3 (H3K4me) complex and acetylation of 'Lys-16' of histone H4 (H4K16ac). In the MLL1/MLL complex, it specifically mediates H3K4me, a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional activation. Q03164 NM_005933 NP_005924.2

Usage
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B866 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B866 was determined to be 5 ug/ml.
