  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

KDM4C / JMJD2C antibody was raised against the epitope recognized maps to a region between residue 475 and 525 of human Jumonji Domain Containing 2C using the numbering given in entry NP_055876.2 (GeneID 23081).
This antibody is specific to the JMJD2C protein. Species cross-reactivity: Human. Other species not yet tested.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2856 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2856 was determined to be 5 ug/ml. Positive control: HeLa whole cell extract.

Tris-citrate/phosphate buffer, pH 7.5, 0.09% sodium azide.

About KDM4C / JMJD2C

Q9H3R0 AB037901 BAB16102.1

KDM4C Antibody, BA146B14.1 Antibody, GASC-1 protein Antibody, GASC1 Antibody, Jumonji domain containing 2C Antibody, JMJD2C Antibody, JHDM3C Antibody, KIAA0780 Antibody, Lysine-specific demethylase 4C Antibody

Histone demethylase that specifically demethylates 'Lys-9' and 'Lys-36' residues of histone H3, thereby playing a central role in histone code. Does not demethylate histone H3 'Lys-4', H3 'Lys-27' nor H4 'Lys-20'. Demethylates trimethylated H3 'Lys-9' and H3 'Lys-36' residue, while it has no activity on mono- and dimethylated residues. Demethylation of Lys residue generates formaldehyde and succinate.

Anti-JMJD2C antibody IHC of human thymus. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B2856 concentration 5 ug/ml.

Western blot

Western blot
Western blot of HeLa whole cell lysate (50 and 15 ug) using LS-B2856 at 0.1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence (3-minute exposure time).
