Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

KCNQ1 / KVLQT1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide C-EQLTVPRRGPDEGS from the C-terminus of human KCNQ1 (NP_000209.2; NP_861463.1). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Monkey, Marmoset (100%); Horse (93%); Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Guinea pig (86%).
LS-E27011 - Lyophilized - 100 µg - $145.00
aa663-676
Human KCNQ1. This antibody is expected to recognize both reported isoforms (NP_000209.2; NP_861463.1).
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:16000. Western blot: Approx. 60kDa band observed in Human Heart lysates (calculated MW of 61.5kDa according to NP_861463.1). Recommended concentration: 1-3 ug/ml. An additional band of unknown identity was also consistently observed at 28kDa. This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Packaging

Tris-buffered saline, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide
Store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

KVLQT1 / KCNQ1 is a voltage-gated potassium channel required for repolarization phase of the cardiac action potential. This protein can form heteromultimers with two other potassium channel proteins, KCNE1 and KCNE3. Mutations in this gene are associated with hereditary long QT syndrome 1 (also known as Romano-Ward syndrome), Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome, and familial atrial fibrillation.

Western blot

Western blot
KCNQ1 antibody (1 ug/ml) staining of Human Heart lysate (35 ug protein/ml in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.
