  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

JAM2 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide C-NPRLGSQSTNSSYT from an internal region of human JAM2 / JAMB (NP_067042.1). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon (100%); Marmoset, Elephant, Panda, Dog (93%); Bovine, Rabbit (86%).
LS-E26971 - Lyophilized - 100 µg - $145.00
Immunizing peptide used to generate LS-C112786. Useful for pre-absorption and neutralization of the antibody's antigen binding site.
Human JAM2 / JAMB.
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:16000. Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 27kDa band in Human Heart, Liver and Placenta lysates after 0.2 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 33.2kDa according to NP_067042.1. The 27kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Tris-buffered saline, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide

JAM2 belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily, and the junctional adhesion molecule (JAM) family. The protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane protein that is localized at the tight junctions of both epithelial and endothelial cells. It acts as an adhesive ligand for interacting with a variety of immune cell types, and may play a role in lymphocyte homing to secondary lymphoid organs. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
