  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Recognizes the human CD41 cell surface antigen, a 140kD glycoprotein expressed by platelets and megakaryocytes. CD41 is also known as platelet glycoprotein IIb and functions as a receptor for fibrinogen, fibronectin and vWF. It has not been established if clone 3H1299 recognizes free CD41 or CD41 only when complexed with CD61. However, antibody binding is reduced in the presence of EDTA suggesting that the epitope recognized is dependent upon an intact CD41/61 complex. Species cross-reactivity: Clone is reported to cross-react in baboon.
Flow Cytometry: Neat.

PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% sodium azide.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

ITGA2B Antibody, BDPLT2 Antibody, CD41B Antibody, GT Antibody, gp2B Antibody, Integrin alpha-IIb Antibody, ITGAB Antibody, GPIIb Antibody, HPA3 Antibody, Platelet-specific antigen BAK Antibody, CD41 Antibody, CD41 antigen Antibody, GPalpha IIb Antibody, GTA Antibody

Integrin alpha-IIb/beta-3 is a receptor for fibronectin, fibrinogen, plasminogen, prothrombin, thrombospondin and vitronectin. It recognizes the sequence R-G-D in a wide array of ligands. It recognizes the sequence H-H-L-G-G-G-A-K-Q-A-G-D-V in fibrinogen gamma chain. Following activation integrin alpha-IIb/beta-3 brings about platelet/platelet interaction through binding of soluble fibrinogen.
