Recognizes Integrin alphaV, beta6 only. Does not recognize the alphaV subunit. Does not recognize the aV integrins. It is not known if the epitope recognized by This antibody is localized within the alphaV, beta6 heterodimer or within the beta6 subunit only. Species cross-reactivity: Human and monkey.

Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Not suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation or Western Blot. Immunohistochemistry (Acetone fixation): Effective for human tissue, especially in circumstances where up-regulation of the receptor is being evaluated. Not suitable for use on formalin-fixed or paraffin-embedded tissues. May not detect the low-level basal expression of Integrin alphavbeta6 in epithelia of healthy adults. Immunocytochemistry: Effective for F6, HT-29, H441 cell lines. (Other cell lines not tested). Flow Cytometry: Effective for detection of human and monkey alphavbeta6.
