Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

INA / Alpha Internexin antibody was raised against purified recombinant rat alpha-internexin expressed in and purified from E. coli
Clone 1D2 reacts with human alpha-internexin and with this protein in all mammalian species tested to date.
For immunofluorescence try dilutions of 1:500, for immunohistochemistry with ABC or other enzymatic amplification procedures try 1:5000. For western blots try 1:10000 dilutions.

Packaging

About INA / Alpha Internexin

Q16352 NM_032727 NP_116116.1

INA Antibody, 66 kDa neurofilament protein Antibody, Alpha Internexin Antibody, Alpha-internexin Antibody, Alpha-Inx Antibody, NEF5 Antibody, Neurofilament 5 Antibody, Neurofilament-66 Antibody, NF-66 Antibody, TXBP-1 Antibody, Neurofilament 5 (66kD) Antibody

Class-IV neuronal intermediate filament that is able to self-assemble. It is involved in the morphogenesis of neurons. It may form an independent structural network without the involvement of other neurofilaments or it may cooperate with NF-L to form the filamentous backbone to which NF-M and NF-H attach to form the cross-bridges.

Immunocytochemistry

Immunocytochemistry
Mixed cultures of rat CNS cells stained with INA / Alpha Internexin antibody (red) and chicken antibody to Microtubule associated protein 2 (MAP2- green). The a</span>-internexin is localized primarily in neuronal axons in these cultures, while the perikarya and dendrites of neurons stain strongly for MAP2.

Western blot

Western blot
Left three lanes show Coomassie brilliant blue stained extracts of rat brain stem, cat cerebral cortex and human cerebral cortex (R, C and H respectively). Right three lanes are corresponding blots reacted with INA / Alpha Internexin antibody. INA / Alpha Internexin antibody stains a band of about 66kDa in all three preparations.
