  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

IL27RA antibody was raised against a peptide corresponding to amino acids near the carboxy terminus of human IL-27 receptor alpha precursor.
Recognizes the carboxy terminal of the alpha subunit of the human IL-27 receptor, otherwise known as the T cell cytokine receptor (TCCR). It is a member of the type I cytokine receptor family with higher levels of expression in CD4+ T cells than in CD8+ T cells. It is a receptor for Interleukin-27 and is involved in the regulation of Th1-type T cells. It also appears to be involved in innate defense mechanisms. It is highly expressed in lymphoid tissue such as spleen, lymph nodes and peripheral blood leukocytes. It is also weakly expressed in tissues such as the heart, brain and lung.

Upon antigen challenge, T-helper cells differentiate into two functional distinct subsets, Th1 and Th2. Th1 cells produce IL-2, IFN-g and lymphotoxin-b that augment cell mediated immune response while Th2 cells secrete IL-4, IL-5, and IL-10 that enhance humoral immunity. The function of T-helper cells is regulated by cytokines. A novel cytokine receptor was recently identified and cloned.
