  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

IL1R1 antibody was raised against extracellular domain of murine IL-1R.
Extracellular Domain
Recognizes murine CD121a, which is the 80kD type I interleukin-1 receptor. CD121a is weakly expressed on most cells and tissues including T lymphocytes, thymocytes, epithelial cells and dendritic cells, with stronger expression reported on fibroblasts. The ligands for CD121a are the interleukin-1 (IL-1) family members; IL-1 alpha; IL-1 beta and IL-1 receptor antagonist. IL-1 is a mediator of inflammation and can elicit a variety of other biological responses through binding to CD121a. Clone JAMA-147 has been reported to block IL-1 dependent cellular responses.
The applications listed have been tested for the base form of this product. Alternate forms, such as conjugated, azide-free, or ready-to-use, have not been tested. Flow Cytometry: Use 10 ul of the suggested working dilution to label 10^6 cells in 100 ul. Method sheets are available on request.

Receptor for IL1A, IL1B and IL1RN. After binding to interleukin-1 associates with the corecptor IL1RAP to form the high affinity interleukin-1 receptor complex which mediates interleukin-1-dependent activation of NF-kappa-B, MAPK and other pathways. Signaling involves the recruitment of adapter molecules such as TOLLIP, MYD88, and IRAK1 or IRAK2 via the respective TIR domains of the receptor/coreceptor subunits.
