Description
The insulin-like growth factors possess growth-promoting activity. In vitro, they are potent mitogens for cultured cells. IGF2 is a growth factor that serves as a potent mitogen and is involved in fetal development. It increases osteoblast mitogenic activity via phosphoactivation of MAPK1 and MAPK3. IGF2 is overexpressed in some rhabdomyosarcomas, and is of interest as a potential target of immune therapies.

Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:64000. Western blot: Preliminary experiments in Human Brain lysates gave no specific signal but low background (at antibody concentration up to 1 ug/ml).
