Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

ICOS / CD278 antibody was raised against mouse T cell clone D10. G4.1.
Recognizes CD278, also known as Inducible T cell costimulator or ICOS, a CD28-superfamily costimulatory molecule. It is expressed on activated T cells and resting memory T cells. It enhances all the basic T cell responses to a foreign antigen, namely proliferation, secretion of lymphokines and up-regulation of molecules that mediate cell-cell interaction. It is essential for the efficient interaction between B and T cells and is involved in antibody responses to T cell dependent antigens. It up-regulates the synthesis of interleukin-10, but not interleukin-2 and prevents the apoptosis of pre-activated T cells. Clone C398.4A has been reported to costimulate T cell activation and proliferation in vitro.

About ICOS / CD278

Q9Y6W8 AJ277832 CAC06612.1

ICOS Antibody, AILIM Antibody, CD278 Antibody, CVID1 Antibody, Inducible costimulator Antibody, Inducible T-cell co-stimulator Antibody, CD278 antigen Antibody, Inducible T-cell costimulator Antibody

Enhances all basic T-cell responses to a foreign antigen, namely proliferation, secretion of lymphokines, up-regulation of molecules that mediate cell-cell interaction, and effective help for antibody secretion by B-cells. Essential both for efficient interaction between T and B-cells and for normal antibody responses to T-cell dependent antigens. Does not up-regulate the production of interleukin-2, but superinduces the synthesis of interleukin-10.
