Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
IHC - Paraffin
IHC - Frozen
Specificity and Use
IAPP / Amylin antibody was raised against amylin.
Tested on human, rat, cat, pig and guinea-pig tissues. Positive control: Formalin-fixed paraffin and frozen sections of human or rat pancreas. Absorption with 10-100 ug immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes the staining.
50 µl Distilled water
Prior to reconstitution, +4°C. Following reconstitution store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
IAPP / Amylin is commonly found in pancreatic islets of patients suffering diabetes mellitus type II, or harboring an insulinoma. Studies suggest that this protein, like the related beta-amyloid (Abeta) associated with Alzheimer's disease, can induce apoptotic cell-death in particular cultured cells, an effect that may be relevant to the development of type II diabetes. This protein also exhibits an bactericidal, antimicrobial activity.
