Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog, Horse, Pig (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Monkey, Bat, Hamster, Insect (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity)
Western blot (1:64000) & (1 - 3 µg/ml)
Specificity and Use
HTR2C / 5-HT2C Receptor antibody was raised against synthetic peptide C-QVENLELPVN from an internal region of human HTR2C / 5-HT2C (NP_000859.1). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Orangutan, Mouse, Rat, Elephant, Panda, Dog, Horse, Pig (100%); Gibbon, Monkey, Hamster, Bat, Mosquito (90%); Rabbit, Tunicate, Pseudomonas (80%).
G-protein coupled receptor for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin). Also functions as a receptor for various drugs and psychoactive substances, including ergot alkaloid derivatives, 1-2,5,-dimethoxy-4-iodophenyl-2-aminopropane (DOI) and lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of down-stream effectors.
