Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

HTR1B / 5-HT1B Receptor antibody was raised against synthetic 17 amino acid peptide from internal region of human 5HT1B Receptor. Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis: Human, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset (100%); Mouse, Rat, Bat, Horse, Pig (94%); Hamster, Panda, Bovine, Dog, Cat, Rabbit, Guinea pig (88%); Elephant, Opossum (82%).
LS-E29104 - Liquid - 50 µg - $145.00
Internal
Human 5HT1B Receptor. BLAST analysis of the peptide immunogen showed no homology with other human proteins.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-A586 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after proteinase K antigen retrieval. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-A586 was determined to be 10 ug/ml.

About HTR1B / 5-HT1B Receptor

P28222 NM_000863 NP_000854.1

HTR1B Antibody, 5-HT-1B Antibody, 5-HT-1D-beta Antibody, 5-HT1B Antibody, 5-HT1b receptor Antibody, 5-HT1DB Antibody, 5HT1B Receptor Antibody, HTR1DB Antibody, Serotonin 5-HT-1b receptor Antibody, Serotonin receptor 1B Antibody, Serotonin 1b receptor Antibody, HTR1D2 Antibody, Serotonin 1D beta receptor Antibody

G-protein coupled receptor for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin). Also functions as a receptor for ergot alkaloid derivatives, various anxiolytic and antidepressant drugs and other psychoactive substances, such as lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of down-stream effectors, such as adenylate cyclase. Signaling inhibits adenylate cyclase activity.
